Spinner Triple Whips for 3rd at the Dew Tour
The BMX park finals went down this evening in Baltimore, Maryland. Heat waves were wafting off the Chesapeake Bay, lighting up the action at the first stop of the Dew Tour. New tricks were as plentiful as crabcakes. Anywhere and everywhere.
Mike Spinner and Dennis Enarson represented 6.0 on the Park Course. Enarson qualified fourth in the prelims, while Spinner was pre-qualifed from last year’s results.
Spinner landed his first ever triple whip, not once but twice, also throwing a 1080 in the mix to land third on the podium. “I’m psyched. I landed two new tricks I’ve never done before. I’ve never triple whipped in a contest before, definitely awesome.” Said Spinner, “I’ve got a few things to pull together, but I’ve got a month before the next stop, so psyched. I’ll go straight to the finals and skip the prelim’s in Cleveland which is great. “
Dennis killed it, riding solid for a 6th place finish in park, following up a 7th place finish in the Dirt Finals. The Dirt gold went to legend Ryan Nyquist, with 2nd going to James Foster, who pulled a clean windshield wiper off the last hit, as the crowd went wild.
Like our friend Magic says, “It’s the Dew Tour Not the Don’t Tour.”
That’s a wrap up for stop one. Check in again to see updated photos and videos from Baltimore.
