All Eyes on FISE

Huge crowds turned up in Montpellier, France for the 2008 FISE competition, which is one of the biggest action sports comps of the year in Europe.

The International Festival of Extreme Sports is a chance for Nike 6.0 riders to compete and hook up with teammates from England, Germany, Italy, France and the US, while competing in BMX street, mini ramp and wakeboard.

The wakeboard contest ended early with Nans Petetins crashing out with a bad fall in the quarters (get well soon). Although, Yann Calvez, from the French flow team, won the pro wakeboard kicker contest.

The BMX contest was massive with a huge lineup of famous pro riders, including Dave Mirra and Daniel Dhers. The Nike 6.0 riders held their own, however, with 5 out of the 8 riders making the cut for the final of pro street.

Mike Spinner got the best result of the team, finishing 2nd in pro street.

Maxime Charveron finished 7th, which means he is still leading the FISE Experience Tour in France.

Harry Main from the UK was on fire all weekend with a strong 8th place finish in pro
street and a great 4th place in spine mini ramp, where he spun a 900 on the Braun ramp and a 720 over the big spine to make it to the finals.

Joris Coulomb had a good weekend, as well, breaking into the top 20 with his 18th place result.

All in all, when the dust settled, it was an excellent weekend for the 6.0 shred team.
